Epicurious Garden
As Project Manager with Kava Massih Architects
Project Type:
Restaurant Remodel Location: Berkeley, CA Description: "This unique take-out gourmet environment was designed within an existing two-story building that used to house an electronics store. Its fresh approach to upscale dining includes eight food vendors, a tranquil garden, a culinary school on the second floor, and a roof top organic garden. Similar to a food court atmosphere, visitors can choose from a sushi or soup bar, a socca oven, fusion style rotisserie chicken, tea and caviar, or gourmet chocolate and gelato. The design challenge was to fit all eight vendors into a small, yet inviting 6,000 square foot space on the ground floor. Awards + Publications: Oakland Tribune, February 8, 2007, p.
