PROJECT TYPE:
Extensive Remodel

LOCATION:
Pleasanton, CA

CONTRACTOR:
KBC Builders, Inc.

INTERIOR DESIGN:
Designed in collaboration with Interior Designer, Karen Nepacena of Destination Eichler

DESCRIPTION:

A 1970s split-level ranch home in Pleasanton, CA - with great bones, but missing a spark that the new owners were craving - was modernized and personalized for a young family who love to cook and entertain.

Living areas throughout the home were transformed and subtly opened up to one another, and the entire rear-yard facing wall was connected to the outdoor space with the addition of an accordion-style door and window.  The 180-degree view of Mt. Diablo doesn't hurt, either, as you're rinsing dishes, or enjoying coffee or a cocktail in the multi-purpose room adjacent to the kitchen.  Further updates include two dramatically different tile selections on the existing 2-sided fireplace and a pass-through bar for entertaining.
