PROJECT TYPE:
Kitchen/Living/Dining Remodel

LOCATION:
Walnut Creek, CA

CONTRACTOR:
Daniel Awand Building and Design

INTERIOR DESIGN:
Designed in collaboration with Interior Designer, Karen Nepacena of Destination Eichler

DESCRIPTION:

A 1955 Eichler home in the Rancho San Miguel neighborhood of Walnut Creek was given a big dose of FUN plus so much extra function by  removing the floating partition wall between the kitchen and living room and maximizing cabinet storage opportunities withing the existing spaces, as well as opening up the view from the Kitchen out toward the backyard pool.

The potential of the existing breakfast nook, family room, and dining areas were realized through careful attention to details and space planning that allowed for furnishings to fit and function optimally, and that gave specific definition to the individual spaces.

The Mid-century Modern spirit is celebrated here with a bold color palette and materials that complement the original architecture of the home, while also feeling very contemporary and comfortable.
